This plate is seriously worth thousands but if deal is done within 48 hours it is for sale at £800 !!!

May I suggest he borrows the money - it can be arranged within 48hours easy - he can then sell it for what its worth and clear the debt, still coming out on top .............. sorted.

i dont think he is the kind of bloke a bank will lend money too, he is in debt.

the plate is said to be worth around 4k though so it is a good deal

You haven't really explained the story well enough. Whose this bloke going to Ireland? Whose number plate is it? This bloke happens to be in debt and can't borrow any cash? So this number plate is being sold for 800 quid worth 4000??
You can't not expect people to say it sounds fishy?? WHy don't you buy the number plate off him and give him 800 quid??? The number plate you're given doesn't rate as 4000 pounds to me. COuld get a much better one for half the price!

Malta has a three - letters, three-numbers plate. I wonder how much TOP 100 would sell for around here? It was on a shaggy old jeep.

to be honest it is not your business about his personal life.

the fact is the number plate is for sale and thats it !

you either like it and want it or you dont.

it really is that simple.

p.s) anyone who is interested, we will go to the dvla or your local tax office to transfer plate with your before you hand over cash, so you know everything is legit.
