TD04 vs TD05
New to posting on here so not sure if doing it correct.
basically I’m building a turbo’d mk6 fiesta ST150.
either looking at a td04 or td05 turbo.
what’s the difference between them both.
Ive seen people running a TD05 36g turbo but can’t find them anywhere? So was looking at a TD05 16g or 20g..
Are the exhaust flanges the same size on td04 and td05?
im hoping to get around the 320bhp mark.
engine is already forged so just needing the decent turbo now.
thanks in advance.

A hybrid td04 with a 19t or 20t wheel should make 320, and is a fastish spooling turbo.
Mine isn't quite as fast as my old standard td04 to spool up, but it's nowhere near as slow as my various td05s I've had either (I've had td05-16g (ie standard JDM WRX turbo pre 1998 or something), td05-20g, and also an sc36 (which is basically a billet td05-16g)).
The td05-36 you've heard about is most likely an sc36 turbo - there's no 36 size wheel for a td05-anything AFAIK
What displacement engine have you got?
