Default WRX BUILD

Hiya all I'm new to the this site and to the scooby world.
I have just bought my first scooby. Its a subaru impreza wrx 2.0 turbo import N-reg... In black....

I got this car cheap becouse there is knocking coming from the bottom end.
I'm going to drop the engine out and rebuild the engine. After reading abit about this cars of this site. I'm now planing while I have the engine out I want to fully rebuild her so she is running 400bph or more.

I have been given some advice and would like to know your comments and advice please....

I'm looking to keep my ej20 block and buy these parts.

ACL race series bearings.
Manley rods.
Forged pistons mabey cosworth.
Full gasket set with cosworth head gasket.
V3 heads,
ARP studs / Head bolts.
740cc injectors.
RCM oil pump
Walbro 255 fuel pump
TD05 20g turbo
FMIC / intercooler kit
Apexi power fc /ecu

This is a working project and I would like to have 400bph+ after, am I going for the right parts or can someone help me, also I'm not sure what clutch to go for and also fueling ect also if I have missed any parts I need can you let me know and what parts to get many thanks,

Also I would like to have the set up that I can change it from 4 wheel drive to rear wheel drive, by a button inside of the car sorry I'm not sure what's this is called but I know it can be done can someone help me there...

Speak to Nick at Advanced Automotive, he will give you the best advice. He supplies me with everything when I do my rebuild's.

He can be contacted on 01179672344. Cath will answer they are great people and know there stuff. Also a supplier of RCM stuff.

The box you want is dccd, but they don't come cheap. They were on various model type r's. The apexi is a good value ecu but it will retain the maf sensor which on classics are a weak point. Simtek, syvecs or he like can delete the maf and are more capable (albeit expensive ecu's).
If going for over 400 consider a 2.1 stroker. Speak to Alan or martyn Jeffries from engine tuner, they can supply all the parts you need for your build

Cheers mate also I'm thinking of taking my 2.0 turbo ej20 engine out and just changing the whole block as I have another one which isn't knocking is this a pretty much straight faward job? Just changing the block
