Bugeye Warning
Don't say I didn't warn you!
I don't condone street racing of course, although I feel I should point out the risk of "Having one's Ar$e handed to one in full view of the Girlfriend or Gobby Mates"
This is an STi Bugeye, looks pretty stock doesn't it?
Nothing special at all.
The chap who owns it doesn't come across with the usual profile. You'd put him in an M3 or similar if you thought he was a petrolhead, but he's obviously got another side to him, call it a sardonic sense of humour maybe.
We started tuning this car some time ago, gradually moving on up when the fancy took him. we passed 350 bhp first, then 400, then 500, well, you get the picture.
Finally he announced that he'd like an EJ22 stroker. Of course we obliged.
Built to our usual standard of course..
It went nicely with his previous RCM twisted kit, Syvecs, Cosworth big valves, CNC heads, 272 cams etc. We also made full use of the twin injector rails, with four small ones and four big ones giving very smooth street running and plenty of top end capacity.
Engine bay, understated.
Now with this added..
We set it up last week, with the brief to "see what it'll do"
Shell V Power with 10% Methanol.
Having done all that, he cheerfully went off into the sunset. I fear for the sanity of his unsuspecting passengers...
