Default How much rust on the underside of your car?

Basically I am going to be upgrading lots of handling components but after a little look at my suspension struts I was wondering, how much rust is 'normal' for a 2005 kind of age Subaru?

What do your cars look like on the underside?

Also, I wanted to know if people think this would be fine to continue with the mods or will the rust will effect the new stuff...

Thanks for the reply I just wanted to check and get some peoples views as I'm not sure why but rust scares me haha as its usually expensive and I don't want it to effect the new parts I am going to put on the car.

If rust scares you, you shouldn't of bought an impreza!
There not the most rust resistant to be honest.( Especially underneath)

Did you check your rear strut turrets? They are usually rotten and are an mot fail.

95 ra, no underseal and no rust
Brackets and suspension related items always seem to get scabby unless powder coated with love !

Jesus, have you lot been parking your cars in the sea?! I have a 2005 impreza, whilst it doesn't look brand new underneath, there is nothing untoward and certainly nothing like those pictures. Maybe they salt your roads in winter more than they do mine.....
