Default Really need help with abs problem please !

Right so,
My brake discs and pads all round were looking abit tired and worn out so I decided to get drilled and grooved all round with new pads, not to much of a job changing them and had a right good tidy and paint up , they look brilliant now but when I'm braking under 20 mph there's a abs crunching sound and feeling, after about 15 mins of driving my abs light **** on and the crunching goes away ? I'm going to try my hardest to get the sensors out and give them a good clean, but any advice would be greatly appreciated !

Sounds exactly how my grooved discs were after installation. It turned out to be a bent ring, no sound when braking once fixed.

Had dirt on a sensor, cause abs light to come on but no crunching.

But did make the brakes seem very poor and I could lock them up.

A quick clean in place sorted it for me.

Depending on year and model codes can be read, which would point out exactly where the problem is.

but as said above don't rule out a damaged abs ring yet

Success !!! Had a good look at the rear rings (no pun intended) and there was a small afro of magnetic metal shavings stuck to the rear pasanger side ABS sensor , so im guessing the crunching was the other 3 sensors detecting there was an issue with number 4, Gave it a right good clean and now thank god it works better than ever,, Good little learning curve
Now to learn how to spell !

Where are the abs sensors on the rear of a 2005 blob STI? I have a similar problem but it only happened when I changed the rear disks and pads but I can't see a sensor?

It's poking through the back of the hub pointing on to the abs ring, about 2 inch long and as thin as a pencil, the abs ring is the bit that hall grooves in it also known as halls, looks like a cog,, hope this helps
