Hi all I'm looking to buy an Sti and I have spotted a 2002 JDM Bugeye Sti for sale.
I wondered if anyone owned it previously or new anything as there's not much history , it's 370bhp according to the print out.
My concerns are it's been in uk since 2006 and has already had 7 previous owners as well as a number of plate changes, one being YJ52TYR. Which I was a little worried about as I always thought cars went back on original plate ?
If anyone has any info would be appreciated.
It drives really well, I just don't want to get burnt...as happened before

I would have thought it would have gone back to LR52UDL after private plates.
Assuming it's a Jap import since 2006, this is when it would have been given LR52UDL by the DVLA (age related UK Mainland plate).
I can't work out where the YJ52TYR would have come from, unless it is actually a private plate, but doesn't look like one to anyone else other than the owner of that time. This is all I can think of.
Strange.

After having a plate change the car should always go back to its original number. Transferred mine back into its original plate last month after being on private plate for 5 years.
