Default Why is my alarm going off?

MY00 classic wagon.

I have just replaced front and rear seats (picked up a leather interior at my local subaru dismantled - is was only going for a electric window switch ...)

Now, when I lock the car, the alarm sounds after 30 seconds.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Have you checked the battery, mine did the same when I had
a cheap Chinese head unit that was draining the battery.

What alarm is it? check the door switches that operate the interior light to see if you have damaged one of them.

Ditchmyster, thanks!

Turns out to be nothing to do with the interior install, just a coincidence that it occurred for the first time when I locked the doors after the install.

Whilst I had the boot open I put some electrical tape around the catch to stop the door rattling (something I did for the first time a few years ago), I put too much on so the boot wasn't catching properly and the boot light wasn't going out. I hope 48 hours with the boot light on hasn't drained battery too much.

Thanks again.
