Default Will my car be too low?

I want to get a more stanced look so I would like to get some Tien lowering springs, but didn't want more than 30mm. I already have a front splitter and will be getting side skirts and rear diffuser.

Is my car going to be too low with the drop as well as the extra bits on?

Are there any other springs that will meet my requirements. Where is ground clearance measured from, is it from the lowest part of the bumper?

I would say in general, 30-40mm drop is about right, but then it all depends on what your shocks are like, what suspension you have on it already, how low is your front end already with the splitter on it and what's your roads like where you live/drive.
I would measure the front as that's probably the lowest point atm and measure from ground to lowest point of splitter. You should be able to answer your own question then

30mm lowering springs doesn't even come into the realm of Stance so don't worry you'll not be that low. My old bugeye was lowered about 80mm and that wasn't really an issue.

My hawkeye will be stanced soon, going to be interesting getting on and off the ferry to France 😊.

Unless you aren't bothered about the handling, or are prepared to do some pretty expensive suspension mods, don't go lower than 25-30 mm drop.

Lowering an Impreza lowers the roll centre, which in turn means MORE body roll.

I've noticed that the rebound is pretty stiff. Will this be worsened or can some better bushes help? Its on standard everything with 54k on the clock

I agree looks brill. Might just go with tien springs. Can get them done nearby. Seems ground clearance wont be an issue. Just hope the ride isnt too stiff

It's perfect for me, I may go coilovers route soon but for now it's perfect for the way I drive

Very technical, but basically the roll centre of a car is an imaginary point inside, or beneath the car, about which the body tends to pivot (roll) when sideways forces are in play. It's position is decided by factors like suspension mounting points, spring rates, and ride height, among others.

The lower it is, the MORE the body tends to roll since it can exert a greater force via leverage.

Thus, if you lower the car too much, you then need to start altering suspension parts and settings to get it back where it was, or suffer greater roll, which means unweighting one side and the consequent loss of grip, and lessening of decent handling.....NOT brilliant on an unmodded Impreza to start with.

If you aren't bothered, and just want the car to LOOK low, fair enough.
But it's worth keeping in mind.

Try Googling Impreza roll centre.

My classic is on Tein springs, I think it sits just right.

I don't want it so low it becomes dangerous. I will be getting new coilovers in due course

Certainly wont be "slamming" it. God I hate that phrase

I would never "slam" a car as there's to many pot holes and speed bumps where I live it's not worth it, if I went the coilover route I'd have it at a sensible height

My last wagon I had with coil overs and 18's on it

To me the ride height was perfect, didn't scrape at all and was a very nice ride. The coil overs and wheels were already fitted so unsure of how much they lowered the car by.

My present saloon with 17's on it

Now I bought STi suspension (supposedly) and had them fitted. It was supposed to lower it by about 25-30mm but to me it still seems high, but does handle better than the old WRX suspension that was on it.

So maybe look down the route of coil overs instead of springs and then maybe wanting to go lower

From personal experience what alcazar says is correct. Lowering a Impreza more than 30 mm will increase body roll unless you also fit roll centre correction. It's also important to lower the front and rear by similar amounts and not be tempted to go for 'raked' look. It also depends whether you're lowering for better handling or as a fashion statement.

Had a look at the link below, interesting stuff.
I do want my car to handle as well as reasonably possible, but I also want it to be reasonably low as I much prefer that look. I think my car handles well at the minute, but got a few handling upgrades in the pipeline

I just want it to look good. I won't be tracking it. Occasional fast road use.

When you raked do you mean front lower than the rear? That sounds dangerous.

I had a focus st that I dropped 30mm. It handled better afterwards. Surely 30mm drop on a wrx would be ok on standard suspension?

A 30mm drop is next to nothing, and will certainly not give you a 'stances' look.
