Best place to Sell
#1
Where is the best place to sell my scoob? Natural thought would be in the "For Sale" area here... but there isn't much evidence of cars actually selling from the BBS.... maybe because most of the people here already have a car perhaps??
The thought of AutoTrader and tyre kickers fills me with dread.....

I work for a big company with an internet trading post which can be viewed by many 1000's of employees. The last scoob I saw on there was a 2 year old very high miler for £19,000!! I just advertised the standard Scoob-Phillips head unit and got 3 people biting my hand off straight away.
The beauty is this.....they think they are buying from someone at work so it must be a fair deal , you think - I am selling this to someone who earns lots of money and I'll rip them off , they are usually tighter than a duck's **** so they buy everything second hand so you've always got a few people interested in your advert
(This has probably blown my chances of ever selling anything to Sickboy though )

hi
i have just sold my 97 scoob, tried all the ads that want to buy scoobs, getting offered about 10k, tried part ex with ralliart, offered 11.5k, tried local mitsi/subaru dealer for part ex against new evo 6, they offered 12.5k, went to the supplying subaru dealer a bit further away, got 13.5k against a rb5 or could have had 14k against a p1

Hi Mark
Interested that Mitsi/ralliart offered so much What sort of price was the evo6 offered to you.....I'm on the verge of buying one though I will try to get the best price by offering cash and trying to sell the scooby by private sale. Mind you nobody seems to want them at the moment.
