Coilovers
Morning, just looking at some coilovers for my 2002 sti,is anybody using tein or spax and if so what are your thoughts?purely for road use, just want it a bit lower plus the rear left shock is knocking so thought an upgrade would be better, thanks,Ryan.

im on bc ,i did not like ride quality until i fitted roll centre kit, now is smooth on bumps
and my next best mod is pitch mount, accelerating is so smooth with it, no jumping when drop off from pedal-high revs,
i use less revs on town driving,
have a look on hsd some rate them over bc

Teins are very track focused, BCs were good when they first came out and were a nice compromise between springs and hardcore coilovers with decent road manners, and the Meister Rs seem just that little bit better for a road car wanting the ability to handle a B road blast or an occasional track day blast

Forget coilovers.
Get some decent shocks and springs. Stick to normal ride height.
Install larger rear anti roll bar and renew droplinks
Then get it set up for fast road.
If I missed something, other members will jump in.
I'm going of what I experienced, bc coilovers are too hard for daily use.
If I had the cash, my coilovers would go in the canal!

I'll be honest I'm not a lover of mine either.
Running BC's and they crash and bang everywhere! Does my friggin head in tbh! All set up and aligned etc, still find them shìt for our roads. Realise now why I've never invested in a set for any of my other cars. If your going track with smooth surfaces furry muff, but the craters in the roads around here take the pìss and personally wouldn't buy another set but hey ho each to their own

tell me more about the shock/spring route.my car is sat on 17" rota fighters and the arch gap is fairly big.id like it to be lower but obviously still handle and not be too hard it annoys me.its purely for road use and too be honest i cant see the car being used that much as i work abroad.obviously better products cost more money but giving the cars age im not prepared too chuck big money at it.thanks,ryan.
