2010 sti p0019 code ESP and CEL on, S and cruise flashing
Just tootling along the M1 in the 50mph avg speed zone and engine management light came on, esp light orange and S and cruise indicators started flashing.
Did the ignition on, press trip 4 times, lights on trick to get error code and its coming up with P0019 C0071 and C0042
I had dealer service and cam belt done 2500 miles ago.
Anyone advise if i am ok to drive 35 miles to dealer? Checked oil and water, both fine. Car seems to be in limp mode and idling rough.
Also checked fuel filer cap as suggested on forum.
Anyone else seen this problem?
Thanks

Timing belt has slipped or not be timed correctly, if it's moved that much you could have damaged the engine

Oh dear... I was hoping that as only 1 sensor was alerting that it may just be a dirty sensor.. I'm booked in at KT green's in morning in leeds. I spoke to them and they said check the oil and water was ok and limp it in so hopefully it isn't in vain

Ok, 1 month out of warranty and they think it's an oil pressure sensor to do with the VVT.
Having it replaced on tuesday.
Part is £210 + VAT.. and as a goodwill gesture they are going to waive the labor charge
Hopefully that should fix it.
They reset the code which cleared the CEL, but it came back on during my drive home.
They said it would be ok to drive as the ECU is overcompensating for the missing sensor and it may just run a bit rich.
There was a spanking new 2015 model there which I so wanted to take for a test drive!!
