Default I have a squeak...

Looked for any rodent activity but none present

On a serious note though, it only started on the way to work this morning and it's already driving me mental. I haven't fitted any new parts to it recently and discs are in good condition as are pads with both having plenty life left in them yet.

It definitely sounds like it's coming from the front o/s wheel area as I stuck my head out of the window whilst driving it through the car park at work.

The squeak is always there, not just at certain speeds - it also does it when turning and when reversing and becomes more when speeding up and less when slowing down.

I wanted to get a video of it but my phone died

I have had the wheel off and checked for anything that may be causing it but nothing is apparent - I even put some wd40 in the wheel bearing area and it's still there.

...Any suggestions?

Guess not then

Turned out to be the metal clip on the brake pad had bent and was catching the disc... any idea what the clip is for as it doesn't seem to serve a purpose?

its a wear indicator, its designed to scrape on the disc when the pads are getting low
