Default Cone or filter

Would you use a cone filter or panel filter on the Subaru forester turbo.My heat shield around turbo is busted so I don't no if using the cone is gonna give me heat soak

You will get no improvement with induction kit over panel filter, i'd say you would get more from filter, although you can induction noise off cone

Is there big difference between stock filter and after market filter

Nothing that you will ever notice unless your tuning goals involve some big numbers!

Yes there is a difference, only small amount, but if your trying to increase bhp figures it all helps, seen a few dyno tests and performance filter did the best, even over induction with cold air feed
