Default cel light

1999 turbo2000

cel light on until what appears car gets to running around 70 degrees on my oil temp gauge, only fault log is 22 for knock sensor, have had car checked and there is no knock so just a faulty sensor, im just confused why it goes off when car is at temp, cel only on when cold in the morning,

previous owners are fastjap in nuneaton, i have checked for any signs of mapping im wondering if there is a gadget thats keeps it on until warm but there is no sign of a rev limitation as i have seen temperature rev limiters.

thanks mark

I had a problem like this a while back. Turned out that the knock sensor was faulty and water was getting into it causing the cel light to come on. When the engine temp went up, it dried out and the light went off. I replaced the sensor and all is now good.

how strange ive had the exact same problem, the cel flashed on boost but only when warm, even on tick over. I thought the worse and assumed it was the big ends anyway today i changed the knock sensor and now it seems to be fine.
