Big thumbs up to POC for yet another amazing group buy, this time Blitz NUR Spec R.
Got mine this morning, mmmm, looks lovely (might be a saddo and take pics tonight, but I'm meant to not be spending any money, so might have to keep it quiet )
Can't wait to get it fitted.
Thanks POC. top man!

Jawa,
you seen the state of the Apexi on mine! you'd cry! it's filthy!
Loud, cool! one of the reasons for going for it as the beast needs a better roar, and it's nothing to do with me trying to outsound Maffa's scoob well, ok maybe it is

I don't think you'd have any problems there!! Planties is so loud it vibrates the car if you're behind him!!!
Similar effect when he lets go of one of his infamous rippers

I would love one but didn't have the readies!
Slightly concerned about emissions tests as in Ashford they do them fairly regularly.. I haven't been stopped but been past them a few times.
Anyone know what happens if you fail a road side emissions test?
is it a rectify in 7days jobbie? fines? points?
I have a UK 96 Turbo, I know there is possibly a work around if you have an import.
Was tempted to ask you Markus what is happening to you old system,
but I have no money to spare so I won't.

Think it was a first come first served basis, and I was just lucky to be near/at the top of the list. As for the wait, well, it will be worth it. Think I was lucky as I'm fairly sure I was told there were not too many of the systems in stock at this precise moment, though i could be wrong, so please don't hold me to it.
I'll try and get some audio files sorted out when it's fitted, both with bung in and out.
Oh, bit of advice, if you think the bung is missing, it's not! it comes in the tailpipe when it arrives! so remember to remove it to enjoy the full Nur Spec R experience! mmmmmm.

Thought I'd post now it's fitted.
Pics can be found here
So what to do I think? well, it looks awesome, nice and shiny, but won't stay like that for long.
Word of warning, when people said it would be loud, I though, yeah, can't be much louder than the Apexi. I was wrong it is a LOT louder, but in a good way, it's a very bassy sound and I like it.
It's not bad on the motorway as well, the dartford tunnel is a dream to go through now!
The bung does drop the noise levels a lot, which is good, so if any problems from plod or on trackdays then I should be ok.
i'm very, very happy with it.
Once again, thanks POC.

JGM,
You can refuse to let them do the test. By law, they only have the power to "insepct your vehicle", if it is clearly dangerous (which is interesting because how are they going to know it's dangerous without inpecting it? ).
Otherwise, you can request that an appointment be made to "view" your car. They REALLY won't like it but there is nothing they can do about it.
One other thing, if you were to say, arrange the appointment at a friends on the other side of the county, how likely do you think they are to send a (precious) officer all the way across country to do that? Have they got the man power?
Matt

BTW, on the noise front, I went in an STi the other week with a NUR spec and on the motorway, I couldn't believe how loud it was. I could put up with that for about 15 mins...
Then the owner stopped the car and removed the bung!!!!!! !!!!!!
Perhaps I'm ready for my pipe and slippers.....and an Audi TT

Matt,
Thanks for the info.. I am sure they won't word it like that when you get pulled over... would you mind if we did an emissions test... etc... your rights are hidden and you have to be in the know... I hate that.
Hol,
Remove your Subaru Pink badge, get some very fine glass paper or emery cloth and rub on the back of the badge.. off comes the pink colour and you have a clear badge with silver stars (the stars are in a recess so the paint is not removed). Then paint the back of it any colour you like.
