Does anyone know if you can spot cosworth head gaskets in a normal engine bay. I'm sure I've seen a pic of them fitted and there was a tab sticking up with cosworth embossed into them, but can't seem to find it at the moment.

If you can, are they fairly easy to see on both sides?

Usually they have a tab sticking up with cosworth stamped into them, can be seen but a bit tricky

Will a torch and a mirror be enough to get a look?

 

Look all the way around the joint between heads & blocks & you will see the Cosworth tabs, you can't miss it.
