Default Newbie alert

Hey all I'm Adam,

I'm collecting my little gem from Bedford on tues and thought it best to get back on the forums. I had an RS2000 4x4 a few years back and have finally managed to get another toy

I'll start a thread once I get her home with pics (and lots of questions no doubt ) someone might know the car

Looks like a great forum I'm on the owners club site as well

Hello M8 and welcome.

Further to what TH has said, you probably won't sleep much after either ( how and what to upgrade, how to fund track days, Japfest, Pod etc. etc. )

Bedford - Hurst Cars by any chance?

No, not at all.
Bedford = Hurst = some good write-ups on here.

Search for Hurst in threads. I'm sure you'll be happy.

I read that to quick it's from a dealer in Bedford top flight motors

It's a uk spec turbo. One owner full history low miles not much done as far as I can tell the dealer isn't really sure on full mods and I have never had a scoob so I went with the feel of her and paperwork.

She drives really well, feels very tight and no nasty noises. I will double check her before settling up but all in all looks good.

I did a vehicle check and it said cat d but dealer said it hasn't been in any accidents and he had the v5 and it didn't say it in there so something else I will need to check.

Reg is X32 BNV if anyone has come across her before would be interested to know more

If it's got full history then there should be receipts, invoices etc. for the repairs of the minor damage that Cat D equals.
Have a look at a few threads on here regarding classics - rust on/in the arches, sills etc.
Stick some pics up and there's plenty of knowledgeable people who'll give you honest advice.

Nice one matey I checked all the usual spots, there was a very small amount under the rear window inside the boot and a small patch above the windscreen o/s rear arches showed minor rust as did the front. The dealer said all will be sorted by tues

There is a huge folder of receipts which I intend to go through on tues with them I mainly looked at the service schedule when we went to view.

I wanted to go

So I now have my lovely Ruby at home after a tense few hours tues. I've gone through the paperwork and it seems that the mods are sensible. She has had a service between 1k and 3k every year and a few bits changed along the way. As far as I can tell they are as follows
Superflex front wishbone rear/front inner bush/anti roll bar bushes-2010
Ninja down pipe with fast flow cat-2008
Afterburner de cat section-2008
Race box performance silencer-2008
HID headlights-2008
Koni suspension all round-2008
Forester air con-2005 (I don't get this one)

It confuses me because I have a Dutch sticker on the rear window and Dutch Subaru booklet. I checked the VIN as it had a different number plate on some of the paperwork so wanted to make sure the VIN on the car was the same and then went online and I'm a little confused as to what the car is. I went on a few sites and it appears to be a WRX if I'm reading it correctly but all paperwork states 2000 Turbo AWD.

Anyways regardless of that she drives superbly and I'm loving having a 4x4 again .

It wont be a wrx, it will be an eu import though, plenty of those around in 2000 (mine was an eu import).
Aircon from a Forester, that will be because it wasn't standard so the forester was probably broken for parts and the last owner got the ac unit and rad out of it.

It cost a lot to install so glad it's done it's been much needed the last few days

What does that mean for the figures then as I have no paperwork for a remap or dyno but I'm guessing it must have been done for her to run right
