Default A couple of quick questions if you would be so kind

I know im posting quite a few threads up but i am still learning on subarus so im sorry for that, firstly my eml came on yesterday on the motorway and i presume its because the car has been de-catted and not mapped ( thats my guess ) but today when driving the light went back off so what could this mean, also id like to change my backbox for one a little smaller but does that mean i wont get the nice rumble and also is it ok to get it remapped then change just the back box at a later date? ill enclose a pic just to show how BIG the exhaust is at the minute

is it the tailpipe size that bothers you or the size of the box? the box on yours looks quite big and a bit of an eyesore

my old scooby had a raptor backbox which was quite a stubby can with a large pipe and was rather loud due to a full decat

heres some pics

if it is tailpipe size thats bothering you then have a look on here

changing backbox without a remap is fine mate

Sounds like a milltek is what you need. Perfect size, not too loud on cruise and lovely on wide open throttle.

Probably would be a turbo back as they are funny with mating up with stock items, or cat back is possible with a spacer after down pipe.

I had the same with my WRX when I ran it for a while with only a Prodrive Sports Cat on. Mine was a cat below efficiency fault code when read.

You should really get the code read (it will be stored as a historic fault code) just to be on the safe side.
