Maybe its the mileage? if i was spending 10000+ on a car i would want something lower milage even if i had to save an extra grand or so to get the right one.

Just my opinion! GLWTS.

Hi,

I believe that if you want to achieve that amount of money with that mileage it needs to be perfect. Get a toe eye cover, clear off the paint dots and remove the graphics and you may then get £10k+.

I think around £9k is a fair price for a clean example of an early STI hatch.

sign of the market i think mate, its the cheapest on trader and heads with less than 100k. While its worth that sort of value, people arn't always prepared to spend it.

two choices realy, drop the price for a faster sale or wait.

With a couple of choice mods and a remap it would sell quicker and maybe for slightly more than I suggested but unfortunately any enthusiast after this car will be factoring that into the price they have in mind.

Don't take this the wrong way
But that should have been your demo
With every part you make/ supply whatever ,
Flipped in orange & black & sitting on XD 9's or similar .

It just looks like any other plain ol Mazda ( sorry Hatch )

Stupid high road tax kills the hatch for me, Makes me think when these are 10 years old and worth £5k, are people willing to pay the £400-500 a year just to drive them!!

Shame really as I have seen some nice hatches on here, think Juggers R205 and Salsa's white hatch are a couple of really good examples that come to mind .

I don't believe the value of these cars will fall much more over the next five years.

The road tax on pre-March 2006 cars is around the £300 mark these days is there really that much difference?

Special editions will hold there price, but your run of the mill STI will fall a lot more, Only have to look at past models(bugs, blobs, hawks) cant see the hatch being any different, once they get to that 10 year old mark the prices will plummet. Blob STi's(2004 model) are 10 years old and the prices vary from as low as £5,5k to £10k for a mint low mileage one, give it another 5 years and there will be loads of hatch STi's with 70-80k miles on the clock going for £6k and the mint/clean ones fetching £10k.

Hopefully I should be able to get a hatch Cosworth for £12k then!!!
