Does this sound like a power steering fluid leak?

Default Does this sound like a power steering fluid leak?

Sometimes at idle the car will smoke white smoke out of exhaust and out of bonnet scoop so last time it happened i popped the bonnet and had a look and it looked to be coming from low down kinda past the block (if that makes sense) been reading up and people say power steering fluid leak sounds like this but wondering is this common on a scoob? car is a 54 plate wrx

Not sure about your model but if it's occurring on the drivers side it's more than likely the rocker cover gaskets. A common problem on classics especially on the drivers side and people with performance headers.

As above. When the engine is cold, remove the air box assembly and run your hand underneath the edge of the head.

Happened on all 4 Imprezas that I have had. It's because the manifold runs directly under the drivers side head and causea the rubber gaskets to go hard. Replacement seal kit is about £50. Make sure the rocker cover is clean before re-fitted and use the blue sealant, I forget the name but can be found on here with a search.

Hylomar, and tbh youre better off using rtv sealant as hylomar never really sets properly.
