That's drive by wire cars only and depends what options the mapper set on whether you can turn launch on and off. You are just switching maps is the mapper set it to use the demister button. As it could be on the sport/sport sharpe/I mode button if a hatch for example

Thanks for that JGM,well it's coming off for sure. Set at 5k and completely bogs down when launching. Also recorded the defi's and it's not holding boost at 1.5 as it was mapped to...supposedly. Consistently at 1.0 bar in every gear, very disappointing. Crap times lol

Was it a glued track? 5000rpm at full throttle should have enough power not to bog, hour day though so maybe lots of grip available

Yeah that's what it will be as I'm high up the rev range all the way down the strip,so am I restricted with the standard twinscroll then? Do they not hold high boost at that rev range?
The grippy section was only open today and I've got vredesteins on which grip well,I would have like a 6-7k launch to be honest

were you letting the launch control engage properly and build a decent amount of boost?
you cant just blip it off the limiter once and dump the clutch you have to build the boost properly first

With my old 1996 sti wagon with just over 300hp I got a 12.74

Yeah I was bouncing on the launch control limiter,I just couldn't launch it at those revs. Maybe it's just me but I've been down the strip for over 10 years in all my cars and this is my most powerful and it's the lowest times I've ever got. I couldn't even get in the 13's.

No problems, it seems a bit odd that you are bogging down at 5k, my mate running a similar set up but on a single scroll was launching today at 4,600rpm and it was taking off like a stabbed rat...

That seems a bit low. If you hold the launch for a bit longer does the boost build higher?
I can't compare to my launch control (1.5bar builds on mine) but I know my friend is seeing 0.6-0.75 bar on his launch

I'd have to double check it but all I know is launching it with what it's set at is ****. I did 5 runs and it bogged down on every one. It just needs removing in my eyes.

And it definitely doesn't need removing, I would say its more than likely you need to just get used to it.
I wouldn't race with out it! This is how it is when you get it right!
