Read in NewMarket Journal under Mildenhall Magistrates a bloke got convicted of:

"DROVE OTHERWISE THAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH A LICENCE. FINED £80.00, LICENCE ENDORSED"

Heard of it or can explain?

Sounds like along the lines of driving an HGV or something - with a standard licence.

Could be holder of a provisional licence driving unsupervised.

It's one offence title that now covers the following old offences:

No driving licence, no 'L' plates, driving whilst unsupervised, driving whilst disqualified by age.

There's probably more but you get the general idea.

Out of interest, it all refered to USAF personel at either Mildenhall or Lakenheath - trust the Yanks not to know how to drive
