Any links to the car? easiest way to the tell is the dash black dials and pre-facelift is v3 and white dials post facelift is v4

Yes mate black dials he wants to convert the speedo to mph from kph but the converter on ebay only does from ver 4

V4 needs an electric converter and the v3 needs a mechnical converter like this

1997 car could be either a V3 or V4, the V4 cars were rolled out in August 97.
The V4 cars got the updated dash with the little cubby hole, that's always an easy spot.

Yup can be a bit confusing until you look into it. Mine was built 11/96 and an my97 v3. There is a good database on type ra forum
