Default fit gauges, or use the torque pro app?

as above really, should I fit a set of gauges (boost, oil pressure , oil temp)

of spend £100 on the obdkey for jdm cars and use my tab 3 10.1 as the display?

Be careful before using dash command,it doesn't work with my car but works with my friends WRX. Palmer performance tried to help getting it working but they've drawn a blank with mine.

You can't really beat a good set of gauges for a nice visual impact.

i have torque and dash command and both are pretty good but i wouldnt be without a proper set of gauges for proper reference as both apps can be a bit laggy with readings.

the normal obd adapter will not work on my car, I will need a obdkey version at just over £100 as they are the only ones that I can find that will work with the subaru ssm on the car

Oil temp and pressure wont work through any obd apps as the ecu doesnt see these or even have sensors as standard for it.
Guages is what you need

^^^^ this

no oil temp on Torque Pro , though you get boost , coolant temp etc. Get at least an oil temp gauge fitted and use the App for everything else.

by the sounds of it, a set of gauges will be first on the list.

for later on, will the torque app be able to on on a head unit like this?

no , it would need to be an "app radio" not just a DVD player.
