Default oversea buyers be careful with buying from ASB breakers

Well I bought some heads and other stuff from ASB breakers.

Everything went fine 'till I get the heads. They sent me the wrong heads.
I let them know and they offered refund when I send the heads back.

And here it started ....

ASB breakers let me know the address, contact name phone and email.
Ordered courier and after 4 days courier called and said that the phone number is not correct.
Found another one which also happened to be false and email also...
I manage to contact ASB breakers to confirm their phone number and email.
But even after that the courier couldn't contacted them and I got the heads back.

Best thing for ASB breakers was just to avoid courier and not refunding my money

I emailed ASB breakers with question how will we solve this and got no answer for a week now.

I lost 140GBP for wrong goods and another 60GBP for courier.

So everyone be careful with dealing with them.

I would hold fire on slating ASB until you find out the full story, personally alot of couriers in the UK are a nightmare, tell you they're was no one in when someone was in all day and they left cards when they haven't and could well be the same where you are

I deal with this courier company for over two years now with 100% reliability
Package was stored in UK for a month trying to deliver...

I sent email to ASB breakers on 19th of Aug 2014 with intent to sort this between me and him with no answer.

Today I got the packages back and had to pay 60GBP...

If just one person saves his money reading this I'll be happy...

ASA ASB breakers they got their money and got rid of useless heads.

I bought some sti v2 seats from them and advertised as no rips or tears and to his word they hadn't had any in, apart from the stupid courier who put a slight rear in the top of the seat! He was spot on with me

It's easiest to scam overseas buyers as we are far away and can't drive to him and take our money.

That's way I want to warn others.....

Sani, the heads were delivered to you 19th May? I agreed a refund to you but it took you almost three months to send them back??? Last PM I had from you was 13th August asking if the courier had been in contact? In that 3 months, yes, I had changed service providers and numbers, hence why you didnt have my correct number. Email and address were correct. I did reply to you via email.

PauGT, I sent you close up pictures of the rear lights. If you werent happy you should have said so and PMd me. I have had no PMs from you after delivery date saying you were unhappy and there was damage??

And as for scamming overseas buyers, I did not reply to any wanted ads. Sani PMd me for parts and PauGT replied for my for sale ad

Im not getting drawn into a public argument, just showing there are two sides

Package was over a month in UK as courier couldn't contact you over the phone or email!!!

If you didn't want to refund after a month (NOT three) you could just tell and save me 60GBP for postage.

I sent you an email 19th August with no answer....

Shouldn't all this be getting sorted out by phone or pm and not in public on the forum

Just to say, as of tomorrow I will have been waiting 2 weeks for some coil packs from ASB Breakers to be delivered to Jersey. In the mean time I have ordered a DTM spec rear end for my e30 which came within 4 days from the UK, along with a manifold which took 7 days from America. Two large items. Not sure how 4 tiny coil packs can take so long but I would never use this trader again and would advise those who aren't picking up the item not to bother.

Honestly, this is the longest I have ever had to wait for a part and I buy things from UK based breakers on a weekly basis. Not a great start to Impreza ownership. I can only hope the parts actually turn up. So far I have been fobbed off with some BS about a wedding. I only went with the seller as they were in the Authorised Traders section of the forum. Perhaps a Rogue Traders section would be more apt?

Quite frankly I would be embarrassed if my "company" provided such a poor service.

You have obviously never been screwed over by a business the power of the public forum for rectifying problems is briliiant, so its good to have it here.

But I do agree in a way, maybe tke the discussion to PM now, and report back what the outcome is. There are always two sides of course, so lets hope the refund gets given and everyone walks away happy.

The only breakers worth dealing with are Matt at MB developments or Scott at Scoobyspares. All the rest sell over priced tatt and from what I gather are bad to do business with.
