Default Anyone heard of this car sales company, ref ?

Hi

After some time looking I have found the car I'm after...... (1yr or so in the making)

I've found it at a company called Zi Motorsport, has anyone got any info on these guys before I take the plunge so to speak.

Cheers

Nope but a lot of scoobies and a big collection of 330s'
Saw the white saloon sell a while back as thought it was overpriced but they obviously sold it.

Funny you should ask
I was there today to look at a car. Some nice motors and the chap we saw Jonathon, was down to earth and very helpful.
I bumped in to Steve Simpson who was there too and had an interesting chat with him. He does a bit of work out of there. They've a nice clean service area and a dyno cell.
All in all a nice place.

It's one of the 330s I'm after as it goes, not sure of it's a good or bad thing that they have a few 330s...... Just fallen in love with em, used to hate em but seen a few a the scooby specialist I take my car to and they have just grown on me big time !

Must not their usual fayre and they were selling it on behalf of someone else.

Nice ride, not my cup of tea but very nice all the same, did u check out any of the 330s ?

Read some bad thing about the 2.5 engine but think I'm going to take the risk, it's under warranty for 12 months anyhow so I would hope if the dreaded ringland failure did happen it would be covered.....

What's ur thoughts on the 330s ?

Had a quick look, not in any depth unfortunately. The 2.5 is a leap of faith but if you get a good one it should be fine.
Worse case scenario if it goes get Andy to forge it.
The 330 does look well and goes nicely with the low end torque. Go for it if you've got your heart set on one.
Personally I'm a 2 litre man. I love using the revs.

That's my worry re going pop but they can't be that bad surely ? Still loads about, was looking at the JDM models but they miss out on all the interior goodies, it's not going to be thrashed it's a daily driver for the misses and for me to have a bit of fun now and again when not at work :-(

P.s- will still be getting Mr Carr to have a play about mind ;-)

Not sure if David at API still has a JDM sti hatch there if any good to you. Think it still has the same interior specs

That's what Type Rob did. Had his Type R and persuaded the girlfriend to buy a hatch sti. Good plan if you ask me.

Been today to look at the 330s, not impressed I must say, it had taken a rear shunt and when I mention it he said it hadn't but it was obvious it had and the bumper had been filled and the paint had bubbled. X2 rear tyres needed replacing due to been bald on the inside and had x 3 different brand tyres on it, it didn't get much better in side either the driver side bolster on the seat was well wore and a chunk of leather missing and stitching, to say it had only do 53k miles it was well wore.

I popped the bonnet and noticed it was hot, he said he had taken it for a quick run before I got there but that's a bit fishy to me, drove out of the forecourt and it was misfiring and was real lumpy, I explained this and he said it was due to variable timing...... Drove to nice stretch of road and it did go once boost kicked in but was real laggy and just didn't feel right (my 2002 wrx wagon is quicker)
Gutted but that's why it was cheaper than most I've seen I guess, the guy was sound enough and offered some money off and to tax it for 6 months but I just had a feeling this just wasn't the car for me :-(

BUT....... On the way home I went to see an S3 I'd seen on net with full Recaro's in leather £3k optional extra flat bottom steering wheel,Bose sound system, and every other extra possible and WOWZERZ ! Was it fast and I mean real fast, mapped to 330bhp no lag instant lift off, Jesus I wasn't expecting that from an S3 made the 330s and any other car I've been in feel slow in comparison. Think I may be changing my alliance now I've driven one.....WOW

Sure they ain't GT spec ones?

Granted I've only seen 1 in person but it had the recaros can't comment on the rest, but an aftermarket double din unit would take care of the satnav and reverse cam if it's all the missing

I think u may be right Maz, I was just blown away by it ! After getting out of a 330s an hr before I just wasn't expecting what I got.

The interior was just tight and smart with just quality touches here and there, Bose sound system, full recaro leather bucket seats.

BUT..... It was the performance that literally just blew my mind ! And the noise it made as it boosted down the road.... WOW !

Never expected it, EVER !
