Default My Trip to ASDA

10.30 this morning , was inside 10 mins max
Asked to see camera footage , was fobbed off .
Not from the store manager, he was unavailable, but the floor manager ( oh well)
We will call if anything shows up ( I nearly spat my powerade in his face that I had just purchased as the mist was starting .
I took a deep breath & went back to car ( expecting more damage somehow)

, only got the wheels done last week ...
Just 1 of them things I guess

It's not in a bad place quite easy to repair, could of been in the rear quarter!
If you wanna sell your wheels to pay for the repair PM me

Totally gutting!

I'm always aware where I park the car but every now & again when I'm in a rush I take a chance but incidents like this serve to show what can happen so easily.

I'm a dent man by trade and have lost count of the number of times I have seen this happen, or heard about it. Customers usually start by saying " I always park away from everyone else just to find someone parked next to me when I get back". It seems to make no difference where you park.

One of my customers who has no kids keeps a booster seat in the rear of his car and parks in the family spaces!

Ouch..I'll probably go ape sh*t if I see my car like that. I'll check the surrounding cars for body paint maybe he's still there and tried to be sneaky. Lol

As said, report it to the police. Asda would HAVE to release footage. Dont wash it as they can take a paint sample to prove the driver hit the car also

Go back to the store and insist on talking to the security guy ,,, they always have one at least on all night if not daytimes ,,, no reason why he shouldnt look for you but i guess you asked a floor manager who really couldnt be assed to work out how to use the camera room ,,, at nights they have security guy and its quieter so go back with a nice attitude and peresevere im sure youll get somewhere whereas if you leave it id be doubtful

Gutted for you buddy

Cheers guys
Even though I was in a rush I did park it ( what I thought ) was the quiet end .
A trolley had crossed my mind , but it's pushed the wing in & the scratches are to deep , so I'm ruling that out ...old lady with a blue rinse
Or spotty ****** is anybody's guess

Their cameras rarely record the carpark...my youngest was assaulted in Tescos car park, Tescos couldn't care less.

I always do click and collect now, car never leaves my sight. Always spot a load of bad drivers around the shopping centre though, you have to keep your eyes peeled.

This is why I've not done saloon arches and a re-spray on my wagon, which is something I'd really like to do, but I know as soon as I do it some feckwit will do something like this to it.

I always park away from people and take two spaces, 7 times out of 10 I come back to the car to find someone parked close next to me, I'm starting to think I drive a magnet.

I used to do this also, but came to the conclusion that people will purposely park close to your car if you park over 2 spaces. Seems to agitate people more I think. Either way its a darn shame. I too want to get the pin dents out on my car, that have mysteriously developed since owning it, but I know as soon as I do it will happen again.
I'm almost certain my neighbour has done a few on purpose

The thing is I do this in the furthest away part of the car park where it's empty and some ****** still comes to find me, I'm starting to think there's a facebook group dedicated to parking as close as they can to people that park away from the store.

I have recently changed tactics and look for spaces next to kerbs or the trolly bay or some sort of post that stops other cars getting too close, the next normal space next to disables ones is a good one too as you get the yellow hatched area on one side. Mind you I have so many pin dents and scratches now that it's hardly worth it, think I might hand paint it in hammer finish.

This wouldn't have happened in Waitrose!

It's annoying that it's over 2 panels as they'll both need to be blended in. Could end up costing close to £250 to repair

So looking at the bumper & bonnet wich is full of chips n scratches I have decided to go for a full front respray , just started stripping it this morning , after a week of blues , plod tells me nothing picked up on camera .. ( predictable )
So it's out of my pocket , but the up side is , I'm doing a little mod wich iv been thinking a wilst about . I'm having the bumper smoothed & I'm goin to junk the headlight washers ( iv never been a fan & don't like them

Gutted!

Be carefull removing your headlight washers if you have HID lamps as they are a legal part of the set up IE HID's by law have to have OE washers or it could fail the MOT

If I do , think I will replace with something like Porsche use on the 911 , & I'm sure many other makes - little round spray nozzles .
No mess , no stupid plungers lifting up & down , & just a wee hole in the bumper
See what I decide when panels are back .
I'll fabricate something up
