Default JDM Hawkeye

Hi guys,
Just wanted to get some help and info on the jdm hawkeye. Do the run the version 9 jdm engine with dual avcs ? Noticed this one on pistonheads http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/subaru/impreza-sti/subaru-impreza-sti-hawkeye-jdm---------2005/2433028 and it states version 10? I thought the hawkeyes were version 9. Also does anyone know much about this particular car, and what is a Cat D?
Cheers

Buying a cat D car is one thing but buying a cat D car with stickers would just be utter stupid

The "version" numbers had not applied for years by the time the Hawkeye came along. It's all about "model year".

Yeah I noticed that it's been for sale for a while, just wondering why? Generally a jdm hawkeye at this price would not last long right? Anyone else here familiar or know the car.

Tbh a cat D wouldn't put me off buying a car depending on what it was categorised for and the price was on the money, some good cars and good buys out there on a cat D just do your research.

Wonder why it was Cat D? he says it wasn't damaged

You're right about the stickers, just screams 'moron'

Could have been vandalised/keyed all over that required a full respray, seen it happen to a few cars

Or I think it could be classed Cat D if stolen, not found and then the insurance has paid out and then it is found after pay out, but worth checking!

are you attracted because of the price or are you looking for a jdm hawkeye

the reason i ask, i know of a jdm hawk owner who has recently been banned from driving

dunno if he would sell but worth asking and its a straight car low mileage

Don't go buy a car cause you need one, you'll end up buying a dog.

There was a nice blob spec c on beys for 9200

From memory the details I know of Lucko JDM Hawk STi:

£140 a year road tax(even phoned the DVLA to ask if it was right and they said yes)
Full Milltek exhaust system(turbo back) with sports cat
Ecutek remap from JGM
Ap organic clutch
Carbon front splitter
Cosworth AP 6 pot brakes 355mm disc
Tein lowering springs
18x9.5 Rota Grids
new 235/40/18 Vredestein Sessanta tyres
Rear calipers refurbed and painted to match front AP's
HT auto side skirt extensions & rear bumper extension(not shown in pics)

From memory think it has about 43k miles and car is very clean inside and out!!!

I know mate, wasn't implying that you was saying my mates car is a dog, I understand buying the first car you see is a bit of a no no, and defiantly dont go buying something because you really want it before actually seeing it.
