Default Removing anti-hyjack function

Ok, I've a Bugeye STI with the standard sigma alarm. It also has the most bloody annoying hidden anti-hyjack button. Whenever the door is opened in the car, if the key is in the ignition, the anti-hyjack arms itself and if you don't press the anti-hyjack button a couple of times within 20 seconds or so the hazard warning lights start flashing the the car switches itself off.

Is this standard or some sort of optional extra with the car and is there anyway to quickly disable it as it's is a real pain. (I'm in the North of Scotland so security is not really an issue - half the time I don't even bother to lock the car )

Good for insurance in certain areas of the country I had it on my old blob. Went to a firm that does alarms ectopic ask them to put it in valet mode then you wont have to work about it any ,more but can re activate if you sell the car

turn on the vehicle ignition, press the remote button once, type 5 on the keypad, immediately turn off the ignition.

This works on my Blobeye anyway

Thanks mystery_machine, I'll give this a go once I get the car back from the paint shop.

If you repeat the process, does it turn it back on again?

Thanks

Brings back memory's of my old Evo 6, I used to forget to put the code in, get halfway down the road and the hazards would start going off, and trying to drive and punch in the 4 digit code in the number pad while under pressure, would be a nightmare!!!
