FAKE ALERT: Subaru 'Specialist' Turbo Monkeys / PMB Performance LTD, Lincolnshire
Im getting good at spotting these now..
Apparently this Turbo Monkey shop is a 'Subaru' Specialist, well that I don't know for sure, but they sure are selling a lot of counterfeit BLOX wheel nuts amongst other fakes
So beware folks!
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Blox-Red-F...item27e48849a6
Other fakes being sold, Benen Tow Hooks, RAYS Wheel Nuts, D1 Racing Nuts, Skunk2 Gear *****..the Benens can't even be argued as of the serial stamp on them in photo.
BLOX has confirmed they are not a distributer for their product..and surprisingly all the 'branded' items they are selling are all available on a well known Chinese wholesale site, very much like our pal Kylin_performanceUK, strange that
If this is what a 'Specialist' is doing to Subarus and their owners...dear god, we could have deaths in the Subaru world soon.
I'll pop a report to Trading Standards tomorrow I think.
*sighs* What is this country coming to?

selling on eBay is bad, but you can see why bedroom sellers do it, is easy and pretty much risk free...but this is supposedly a proper garage by the looks of his photos?
User - Paul83b looks to be PMB on here

Shame really as these guys aren't too bad on prices on the cars they break, but if they are indeed selling fake stuff well sadly it maybe a good thing for them to get a quick bite on there wrists
As obviously that money Greed monster is sneeking in!

Not at all, it's the people who commit fraud who keep these Chinese companies in business! They wouldn't be distributing without people buying from them to scam someone else now would they.

There wouldn't be anything to distribute if they weren't making sub-standard goods in the first place so 'yes at all' The problem is the goods are not fit for purpose or do you think there is a genuine market for wheel nuts that disintegrate?

knock-off wheel nuts? Jeeez that IS well dodgy.
I mean knock-off torches, BOVs and bodykits etc. is one thing, but something could result in the wheels coming off in the middle of a few twisties doesn't bear thinking about.
Being honest guys, I wouldn't fit ally nuts full stop anyway - your insurance company could have a field day with you.

The worst of it is, he is pricing them so high, and using his 'specialist' brand name to convince the public they are real as they are close to retail price. Thats even worse than charging next to nothing, because then at least some buyers will figure out they are fakes due to the price.
Needs to be stopped.
