Default Remap question

i purchased my first impreza about a month ago it's a 53 plate sti type uk, just wondered if there is any way to tell if it has been remapped, the previous owner said he had it remapped back in 2009 but I cannot see any clear receipts to prove this, he said it was remapped and was running 305bhp so can't really tell by the power difference from standard, is there any way to tell thanks

Not sure apart from a rolling road.

Would a diagnostic plug in give you the boost pressure readings?

Phone the company and ask if they know the car(give the reg number/receipt job no), and say the owner said it was mapped there?? No harm in trying!!!

You could also try the same with ECUTek, they should be able to tell you if your car has a license for their software.

As above, worth the £60/£70 odd to have some runs on a rolling road. That way you will know what the power is and that its running right. Its the only way to really tell.

I see you are in kent. Charlie at surreyrollingroad would be a good bet. Good bloke who knows his stuff and has done plenty of scoobs on here. Its a little way from you but not too far once you are on the M25.
