Does the idiots in silly cars ever stop?
So just now, on a 5 or so mile drive, I had a standard (non evo) Lancer, a Polo and an Escort all driving up my ****! Only had the WRX a few weeks and it seems to happening a lot. Is this going to be a normal occurance now that I drive an Impreza?

Never attracted muppets in any of mine , the worse culprits was other subaru's .
The worst car that attracted the divs on a daily basis was when I had the escort cosworth

I seem to get people hanging back more than trying to push me to be honest
Maybe it's because mine back fires and howls (VF22) they don't know what it's running or something
But it's a rare thing if someone is reving behind me
Mind you I'm one of these get to the speed limit as quick as I can type drivers, so maybe they do, just never notice
My work car though, that thing is constantly been pushed and over taken in

I'd just like to throw a different point of view on the table. If I'm driving my Scooby which I think is relatively quick, and I pull up behind a 911 or something, I don't think for one second that I am quicker ... but I would just like to see it **** off into the distance so that I can see just how much quicker it actually is ... I might even see how I'd fare at keeping up but I don't think for one second that my car is better, but I'd like to see the difference
Obviously as the 911 driver, this would **** you off if this happens all the time, but don't think that everyone behind you actually thinks they're quicker

Do you remember the first time you drove one? It does, of course, depend on what you step up from, but they are pretty good (albeit as you point out, very thirsty), and it's definitely a nice step up from 80% of the mundane crap on the roads and you can feel "a bit special" for a while. There's a whole other 20% though. And that 20% can be surprising and unexpected
