Default New dials / console for a Hawk?

I'd like to fit a speed dial that displays mph and kph as my car is only in KM. Can this be done? I don't mind buying the whole unit if I have to!

Cheers

When imported it should have been fitted with a converter so that it reads in Mph, usually the K from the Km/h marking on the dial then gets covered up by a square of electrical tape, so the marking reads m/h

I'd be surprised if yours doesn't already read in m/h

The car started life in Dublin then was imported, so it's a EURO import really not sure if that makes any difference!

ok

despite what the dials are marked in, would check against a GPS speedo app or satnav as to what speed read out is on either gadget when at constant 50kph

if it turns out you're doing 50 mph or there abouts, it sounds like the converter has been fitted and you just need to put a sticker over the Km/h marking.

if you're only doing 31 mph or there abouts, then it's not got a converter fitted and personally I'd go that route rather than changing the clocks because then you'd have some random ODO figure.

If you fit the converter as should be done when the car is registered in the UK as an import then record the ODO reading and document it, because it'll have counted how many Km the car had clocked up prior to fitting, and then obviously past that device being fitted it'll count the rest in miles.

if thats the case and you arent to bothered about the odometer reading a set of uk clocks would be a straight swap and if necesary you can have mileage corrected.

id be asking why are the clocks not reading correct in the first place though, have they been swapped out to hide the mileage??

Ireland works in KM so everything is in that format, UK clocks make sense, can I have the mileage switched to miles legally? it's on 106km = 65.8k in miles

It's on a Northern Irish plate to confuse matters even more, seems it was off the forecourt new in Dubin, went to NI and registered there then shipped across. When I registered it here I kept the NI plate because it looked different lol

NI is part of the UK, bit odd that it didn't have to be ESVA'd or whatever the right inspection is when it was there, be sure to study those links

Should this do the trick?: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMP...item5d2579f5a7

Also does anyone know any companies that could change my odometer to miles instead of KM?
