Default Sigma car alarm

I've read numerous posts about this but I cannot find anything that gives a straight answer.

My sigma key fob (separate to the key) has been struggling to lock and unlock my car and the 3 little LED lines at the bottom of the key fob flash red (i'm pretty sure they used to be green).

When I come to change the battery over, is there a way to do it so that it still is sync'd to the car? I've read loads of posts of people saying it is no longer sync'd and they need to get the fob reprogrammed to the car but then have issues getting it sync'd.

Thanks

That is the obvious option however I don't know how the battery is held in, I'm a long way from home so don't want the battery to fall out and then not be able to sync my car etc if that does happen.

I'll have to look when home!

Changed the battery and all is good, I do still however have to be almost next to the car for it to unlock!
