Default Airbag light suddenly on! Awesome.

Just when I'm thinking "I'll keep the Blobeye and make a nice car out of it", the "old car" issues start!

Airbag light came on yesterday night, late. Went off again after turning off the ignition and starting again. Came back on this morning and now does not go out.

Great stuff.

Any ideas? Haven't disturbed anything anytime recently. I had the battery out to do the plugs a couple of weekends ago, but that's it.

Plug under the seat come adrift, it's a common fault, mine does it if I move the passenger seat, sometimes it will do it if someone just sits in the seat, just push them together and "wiggle it just a little bit".

I'll check the plugs, ta.

I wouldn't mind but I just spent £1200 having the box swapped over. Unfortunately the 04 box I bought (from Dave Y on here) had different driveshafts to my 03 so I had to have the lot changed over. That was a fun day. Plus there's noisy bearings in the gearbox I bought as it makes a noise until you depress the clutch (had a new clutch at same time, so new release bearing etc.) and it makes a light hissing noise, a similar symptom to what my old box displayed as a result of a knackered output shaft bearing.

The joy. I love these cars....

My box has been noisy for the last 3yrs and 20k "it's a Subaru ting init" My Isuzu Trooper also has a noisy clutch / box for the last 60k, If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Yes it's a blob thing the connectors under the seat.

P.s and I was launching it at the weekend on my first drag strip day, still sounds the same.

Fair dos

Had a fiddle with both plugs, as passenger side didn't seem to do anything. Issue appears to have disappeared now. We'll see if it stays that way!

Yep common thing and usually after kids have been in the back dropping stuff under the seats. The plugs are for the air bags in the seats.
