2002 wrx sti type ra spec c
Does anyone know if dccd came as standard on the 2002 16" wheel version? I know this model didn't have brembo brakes or ABS but I'm getting conflicting info on the dccd.

Yes its have DCCD plus gearbox has have oil cooler and yes has come witjout the Brembo,OE 4pots only and 2 pots at rear
Neil@Slowboy racing have 16" Spec C Type RA
Thanks,Jura

Hi there
Then I would say its JDM STI "Prodrive style" or even Spec C(not Type RA),but this can confirm someone with more knowledge than me
What I know Spec Type RA has come as 16" version and 17" version,16" didn't have Brembo but spec has been same as 17"
Thanks,Jura

Ask the person that is selling the car to take a picture of the speedo cluster if it has a dccd function lights on the cluster then you will know?
Or take a picture of the lower console should have a dccd switch there

It looks a 100% genuine spec c the wheels are wrx with wrx brakes and no abs. There isn't a switch in the console but I'm wondering if it would be possible for someone in the past to lose the dccd because of failure and remove the switch and blank it off. Like you say a picture of the clocks would confirm this.

The base model Spec Cs come in 2 spec.
16" wheel spec and 17" wheel spec.
•The 16" wheel spec comes with base Impreza seats, manual DCCD, manual windows, 16" steelie wheels and small non Brembo brakes.
•The 17" wheel spec comes with full STI interior, manual and auto DCCD, power windows (for MY06 and later), 17" wheels and Brembo brakes
The special limited edition Spec C
These are based upon the 17" wheel spec as above but come with additional STI sport parts such as suspension struts, links, aerodynamic parts, wheels, brakes etc and are usually produced in limited numbers to celebrate a rally win or a certain achievement.
Myth: All MY03-MY07 GDB JDM WRX STI come with DCCD (Driver's Controlled Centre Differential)
Fact: DCCD was an optional item on the MY03 to MY05 JDM WRX STI. As a packaged option, DCCD equipped cars also came with Bridgestone Potenza RE070 tyres, 13:1 ratio steering rack, different front and rear LSD. DCCD became standard on the MY06 and later cars.

http://www.type-ra.com/impreza-model-code/ you can search which cars have the DCCD as standard. It's updated to MY05
The DCCD search is here: http://www.type-ra.com/impreza-model...php?query=dccd
MY01 search should help too: http://www.type-ra.com/impreza-model...php?query=my01
