Default Finally bought my 1st scooby!!!

After many years in ford scene owning modified RS's and ST's I decided enough was enough and was time for a change.

After bit of a search I finally found car For me, so Today I took ownership of my STI JDM spec c type 20

I love it already and only been for a short drive, via the shell garage
. It's a totally different a experience from what I've been use too for many years. (Fwd and big power) . Feels like in a rally car lol

The cars a credit too pervious owner but I'll look after it just as well !!

Anyway swapped wheels over and gave it quick snow foam.

i know all know what scooby looks like lol but had post afew pic's

From a fellow type 20 owner very nice mate I'm sure you will love the Scooby.

Had my type 20 about 2 years now and still puts a smile on my face every time I get in it, so I hope you will have the same many happy years of driving it too.

Congratulations on a great 1st Subaru! As above, seeing as you've bought one of the best out there, there's not a lot of room for upgrades or major improvements now .

thanks for the replys

Well got up early this morning and went for drive up and around buxton. Its just brillaint, dont need radio, got engine noise, diff noises etc lol just brilliant

Only thing issue had was feel the brakes could be a bit sharper so maybe chunk some different pads in. Been use to AP 6 pot brakes you see. Anyone recommend anything other than ds2500! Hopefully can get pagid rs29 pad for these brembos ?

did pull over for 5 mins and got camera out ... again...

Do the Hawks benefit from the brake stopper mod? Could be a good first modification.

Talk to Alwyn as AS Performance for brake suggestions! http://asperformance.com/ he's very helpful and knowledgeable. I had 6 Pot AP's on my UK300 and they're certainly better feel than the 4 pot brembo's but I didn't swap them over to the Spec C as I wanted to stay with 17" rims.

I shall take a look. I have been looking at power station Porsche brakes can buy ...
But think 4 pots with decent pads and maybe some 2
Piece discs will be fine for track aswell.

Bigger brakes mean bigger wheels Chris

Brake stopper mod is a bracket from the strut tower to the master cylinder - not sure if it benefits the newage car

PF discs and bells, with some good pads will be more than good enough for road/occasional track. I run DS3000 with the above discs. I wouldn't recommend the DS3000 if it's an everyday car though as they do need heat to be at their best.

Maybe PF discs and PF Z rated pads would be a good combo for you. As above though, speak to Alyn at AS performance, he'll advise you on the best setup for your needs and won't sell you anything you don't.
