Anyone running coilovers on the road?
Just wondering whether to go down the coilover route or something like a pro drive springs / roll bar setup.
I want to have good handling of course, but maybe not rattle the teeth out of my head! Are coils bearable for every day if you buy a decent set?

I have bc coilovers fitted to my spec d and seem to be fine ! But then I had roll bars , drop links and anti lift kit fitted at the same time ! When I brought the spec d it already had prodrive springs fitted to the standard sti shocks which where good ! Only changed as had the right deal on the whole kit !

BC coilovers have been the best single mod I've done to my WRX PPP so far.
Got them in great condition off Thwaites Developments for £400.
Car no longer steps out at the back at slow speeds and feels a lot more assured around corners. I'd never previously taken the car around a sharp corner over 40mph, Tweaks fitted the Coilovers and on a test run he entered the first corner we came to at ***censored*** mph and I **** em. The ride is hard though and there are noises, especially the quadruple VTA sound over speed bumps!
Best thing is the ability to raise or lower the car in just 50mins, it was slammed for drag racing and raised 15mm after I had an ill fitting Cobra Sport Downpipe fitted.

Ive got BC's on mine there fine, if u adjust them to maximum stiffness there abit much on country roads and if u adjust them to maximum softness then theres no point in having coil-overs lol, Just get some u wont regret it mate

I know a fair few people have had them and swapped to the likes of kW and wouldn't look back

That said I also know people that have been really happy with them. Including one mate who swapped from Ast's to them.

Very few people will ever knock an item they've essentially paid good money for. And usually people will rave about such things even if they actually aren't completely happy.
Coilovers work if on track or you manage to find that perfect bit of road (very unlikely in this country though) but for everyday driving they don't.

Ive used BC coilovers and I found that the car jumps and the road noise is unbearable ,I swapped them out for Bilstein Prodrives and fitted Eibach p
P1 springs and all is well again,our roads are definitely not suitable for coilovers and wont ever go back to using them.
