My boot seems to be leaking somewhere - what is the main culprit likely to be - seals?

 

I think you'd benefit from a lesson in how to use search engines, you ask more questions than my Wife

 

Boot rubber as it turns by the rear quarter nearest the light

 

Can you ask your wife to googlebing it for me?

 

Could be one of 3 choices

1/ If the lights have been changed can be them, as need resealing when fitted.

2/ Boot rubber.

3/ If you've had an after market spoiler this could be leaking in front where fitted

Well it may shock you but I have actually searched in the past and found a few possible causes as reflected in the responses to this thread. As I'm on an Impreza forum I had the crazy notion of asking fellow enthusiasts what (in their opinions)the most likely cause was.

Check the big screw that holds in the spare wheel is all the way in. I had mine out and damp got in and eventuly caused a puddle

My leak was from the cable for the third brake light that comes through the boot lit from spoiler, bit of sealant with small nozzle sorted it from the inside.
