New Subaru Vivio owner in Wales
Hi there,
Thought I'd say hello as I'm sure I will need to call upon you're help in the coming months!
I've just bought myself a Vivio and so far despite it being pretty slow I'm enjoying it's general quirkiness / rarity factor!
Any other Vivios around?
Already sorted a very annoying exhaust heat shield rattle. Now the only issue is a misfire when cold / wet. It clears up pretty quickly as the engine warms up, anyone ever had a similar issue? I was going to start with plugs / leads / ignition timing check and take it from there.
Cheers guys

Actually that JDM version looks not bad. We only got the 600 odd cc 5 door hatch without the turbo in the UK. Bet its great in the snow though with winter tyres on. Like an original mini

This automobile has a 3 door hatchback type body with a front mounted engine supplying power to all four wheels.
Its 0.7 litre engine is a supercharged, double overhead camshaft, 4 cylinder unit that has an output of 63 bhp (64 PS/47 kW) of power at 7200 rpm, and maximum torque of 88 N·m (65 lb·ft/9 kgm) at 4000 rpm.
The engine delivers its power through to the wheels via a 5 speed manual transmission (nearly came).
Quoted weight at the kerb is 750 kg. (came)

Mine is a uk car (that means 5 door and NA). I imagine the supercharged Jap cars were pretty quick!
To be honest I never bought this for its performance haha! It was mostly to have a quirky little car that would be cheap to run. The 4wd is a big bonus as my wife is paranoid about the snow for some silly reason (southerners for you!).
I'm getting approx 55mpg but it's quite hilly here so I'm sure it's possible to get more!
As for sticking something bigger engine wise, it wouldn't be an easy thing to do. When in 2wd mode they are FWD, so the engine is a transverse mounted straight four (and it's flipping tiny haha!) and I've always assumed other Subarus using boxer four pots were longitudinal? I've never actually owned a subaru before (I was always more of an Evo man, probably a silly taboo on here though haha!).

Yeah I know, I love wiki! I read every scrap of information about the vivio I could find the night before going to see it.
