peoples opinions on what my cars worth ?
Hello everyone
I seen another Subaru I'm interested in so was thinking of selling or breaking my car.
can I get peoples opinions on what you think it worth ?

one of the lads at my work used to work for ford.
he has his own setup in his garage now and does it on the side ..
if my cars only worth around £1000 now and £1500ish after spray am
starting to consider breaking it.
is it realistic to think I could make £1000 on the car within 4mounths breaking it ?

is it kept on the road?
if it is it will need re-insuring and taxing at some point- that could end up being 750 on its own
and it depends how much you value your time
I would take £500 and walk away

there is never a grand in parts in that car. nothing on it worth a whole lot. engine £300 on good day then maybe the fmic £75 the rest is worthless that wont sell id say.

this was my maths
bumper 60
seats 100?
Wheels 200
FMIC 100
Exhaust with decat downpipe 100
Struct Brace 25
Engine 300
Spoiler 75 (if its a real one!)
headlights - side lights 70
Brake calipers if rebuild 60
Weigh rest in 80
But its time and hassle

The bodywork was actually quite good, interior a bit scruffy - but all the 4x4 stuff worked - it owed me about £250, (Turbo and MOT) I thought I would get 1200 for it , maybe even £1500, especially as it was the winter
Anyway after 4/5 weeks of trying to shift it - I let it go for a £200
I was just glad to see the back of it tbh, and It was kept off road
Had I had to keep it on the road, I would probably have paid someone to scrap it, rather than re-tax and re-insure it (in fact once i had decided to get rid of it I resented wasting car shampoo on it)
When the DVLA sent me the change of ownership letter, I was soo fvcking pleased it was unreal

Ps totally natural and understand to over value your possessions
I have a 10 year old Audi A4 quattro - still looks and drives great - and the leather interior is a nice place to be
In the cold hard light of day, worth 1200 tops (but I still think must be worth 2k surely)

I think your looking anywhere between £750-£1000 if to sell it as a whole. Breaking it you might be stuck with loads of parts you cant shift, so you might not be guaranteed to make near £1000.
