Found.! Car located via tracker this morning. My friend is delighted. Apparently thieves nowadays leave the cars they take somewhere random and watch them for 24hrs to see if their trackers are active. Makes you think twice about paying that subscription.

Why wouldnt you want it back?People steal things every second of the day,"whats yours is yours!".SJ.

Good news that he has it back. I do understand where corno is coming from though.
Wonder where he'd stand if 2 weeks down the road the engine let's go because of damage caused to the engine. You know those thieves didn't poodle around at 30mph, car would of no doubt been driven on the very limit bouncing off the limiter.

Lol yeah right, that would involve the Police actually doing something to catch criminals, no doubt the owner can expect a couple of speeding fines in the post some time soon though.

We'll from what I can gather our friend insisted forensic evidence wasn't looked for until he turned up with the spare keys, didn't want any real damage done by the cops.! He's pleased just to have it back, apparently one scuff on an alloy. As for it being thrashed, perhaps if it were stolen to order it's been driven subtly to avoid detection, never know...

I agree with you on that 1 point that all car thieves are bonified Numptys, but atleast if it was rinsed (driven hard),a Subaru can take a certain amount of abuse hard driving as that's what they were built for,and not just driving about miss daisy.SJ.

Agreed. Whilst a well maintained Subaru will take some abuse I wouldn't want it back after it had been twoced. I doubt the thieving scum would have had any mechanical sympathy or waited for things to get up to temp.

The 2.5 can't take normal driving nevermind any sort of abuse.
Perhaps they dumped it when they realised their mistake and it wasn't an evo after all just a look a like with a poo engine .

RS6 Owner
I had my RS6 stolen from the next street at the same time that the Subaru was taken. It was done by the same gang as I heard the scooby scream off behind my 6.
Mine as yet has not been recovered. Our 50kg Ridgeback woke us up as they came round the back of the house. This didn't stop these boys still breaking an entering. The dog was only 10ft away from them and they stood their ground and had the keys anyway.
They weren't your average kids taking them.
