Default Cheap Hatch STi, am I missing something?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Imp...item27f3b0f80b

As the proud owner of an 08 STi I got sent this by a colleague who is suffering from lack of Scooby He thought it was cheap, I was gobsmacked having paid 12K for mine in August. Anyone know the car? Looks like a bargain to be had (even putting 4k aside to forge it)

Bit cheap that.

I suspect there's something up with it, or the seller, or both.

Bargain of the century if we're mistaken.

Looks like possibly a car taken in px and dealer wants rid. Engine probably on way out.

Could be a good project though.

Cool, let us know if it's straight or not. As thenewgalaxy said bargain of the century to be had, it's nigh on half price

I don't think it's such a stretch of the imagination when you consider the 2.5L engine issues, if he's taken it in cheap from a seller that knows it's on it's way out it's not really a bargain if you have to throw another £4k at it to make it right.

Are you going to try and twist this thread into why we should look for a 100k mile Blob WRX instead?

Don't know what you mean.

But at £3k a blob WRX seems like pretty good value to me.

With the extra wedge I could make it 500bhp and still have change.

or twist it to low millage s202 (believe for low mileage from Japan is like believe for UFO or one piece non accident car from eastern Europe-fat-thomas import for example)
without boot carpet(lightweight) and with vf34 for 12k
some call them spec c which it never been(first spec c was blob)
9k is not bargain , You could find lot near to 9k on that days

Looks like bullsh!t, mot and tax on the advert doesn't tally with the mot and tax that the trooper posted up, and it looks like its on a dealers forecourt but the dealer has no feedback and no other items for sale.

Why are they even advertising it as taxed anyway, you can't buy a car that is taxed now.

Could of come up recorded on hpi
I bought a M5 and it had that many plate changes it didn't show.....it all came to light when I put it up for sale 2 months later and the lad who had stuffed it contacted me.
Hpi payed me out as the garage I bought it off had a experian check from taking it in and I had a hpi done after leaving a deposit.
The car had been whacked 8 months prior to the trader having it , showed 2 alerts on plate changes (in 6 months) and my hpi showed the same, all clear on everything else.
Cheap cars are cheap for a reason and never a genuine honest one

10 plate... you'll find it'll be one of the silver ones that were left over (along with some RED) of the original 2008 cars. These sold at £25k pre registered....... I looked at one when I looked at mine. £25k for a 10 plate new car.. I paid £24k for a two year old 330s car with 16k on the clock

I think there's must be something wrong with it or a typo on the price.
