Default Opinions on gb270 estate??

Hi guys,

Gonna be looking to get a estate scooby, as we went to buy the pushchair for our little one who's due in feb.
And not much room in the boot on a hawkeye sti, so just wanted some feed back on this if you guys have any??

I do like the gb270 estate, Our hawk is going to be our family car (saloon) in February to...and our other car is a r53 Mini Cooper..... The push chair fits in the mini JUST!
Good look with the baby

I`ve always liked the look, as long as there was the optional leather seats; the cloth ones are gash. It`s the engine that puts me off, although there`s someone on here that had a forged Enginetuner lump in 3 years ago.... I`d have that !

Yeah I like them , I'm a wagon fan ! Seen a few big power forged lumps that would work well

And I would want a brake upgrade

Hawk wagon seems a good buy at the moment

I've got a spec D hawkeye sti, with PPP and a few other mods.
Which will be up for sale later, wanna stay with subarus as I love them.
Not after mega big spec, or I would keep the sti.
Need more space, and something I can still have a little fun with from the lights.

What about a Forester XT? Same engine, drivetrain and Chassis as an Impreza WRX but much more boot space

I found the MY 04 Forester STi boot adequate.

But having also run two wagons, newage and classic, the saloon is not much smaller in the real world if you carry pasengers in the back

Buy a different push chair! a far cheaper option.
This fits in my wifes Peugeot 107:

Plus you can get the car seats that mount on the top.

http://www.johnlewis.com/baby-jogger...kpid=231347992

Well made and well engineered.

Much better than the crappy Silver Cross he had to start with.
That was overpriced crap in my opinion.

The Baby Joggers are easy to fold and unfold and very light in comparison to some of the monstrosities out there.

I had a GB270 wagon for over 3 years and loved it
No engine issues on mine but it was well cared for

The Alcantara seats are a must, with the stitched in logo

We need a travel system, but I like to get away when ever I can.
Plus I think the RB320 shocks are very hard, so don't know if that will disturb baby while it's in the car seat??

Pushchairs are for toddlers aren't they? The op has a new baby due in my day you needed one of those god awful prams which had a built in baby carrier / car seat to transport from one to the other without waking. These were flipin huge compared to a pushchair I was so grateful when ours reached pushchair age as the pram filled the boot! Have things changed in the last ten years?

Ain't nothing going on my seats apart from bums lol.
I know it can be done, guess I will just have to wait till the time comes.
If worst comes to worst, can get one of those roof top boxes!!

Look at my earlier post. You and get one system that covers both.
