Thieving scumbags !
The wife called me at work to tell me that someone had stolen one of the fog light covers off our blob STi !
You can see the screwdriver marks where someone has levered it off, I was hoping that it had just fallen off somewhere.
What really annoys me is that it has to be someone with a Subaru, it isn't going to fit anything else ?
These pieces of s**t deserve to have their fingers cut of with a set of bolt cutters !

Could be an owner but also anyone who can look on ebay. Look how ridiculously priced the pro drive wheel caps are. Any tosser with a tool can pinch this stuff and flog it on.
When it's just the one though it does make you think who's nearby and has been on the look out for your car.
Sorry to hear dude

This happened to Mk1 and Mk2 Golfs when VW discountinued the side mouldings and arches especially on the 90 spec Golfs.
Mine where tea leaved three times - then I found 'Sticks like ****' - never stolen again.
I actually started going down the scrappy and picking the bits up for a score, then selling them on eBay for £150.

I remember when kids though it was cool to pinch the badges from cars in the late 80's, particularly VW ones.
I really would be up on an assault charge if I caught some little **** messing with my car.

I had the front end of my classic stolen 3 times back in 2004, come to the point it was costing me £500 a time to replace, and I had enough and go rid, Never had any other problems with any other cars sat on my drive, but for some reason Subaru's attract people from 2 ends of the scale, you got the owners who can afford to pay £10k+ and then you got the other owners who can just about afford the insurance/tax/running costs and a car that costs £1000 at most, who would be happy to steal parts from the more expensive Impreza's.
Dont want to stir it up, but its got to be a WRX owner with STi fog light cover envy!!

Replacements should hopefully be on their way to you today Jon. All boxed up and ready to go.
At least I can be ruled out of being the guilty party due to envy, im going backover from sti blanks to wrx surrounds!
Oh and also agree about the two ends of the scale, its becoming rarer to see an impreza thats newage or older thats just a normal day to day car to someone. Most that I see seem to be either enthusiast or toe-rag owned depending on the price bracket (Just to keep any keyboard warriors at bay, certain exceptions do apply etc etc)

Yeah it's absolutely ridiculous. It's one thing stealing stuff from people but it's another when it's something that makes a big difference in their lives. The police have said its gone for good so his mum had to buy him another one today. It's literally one of the very few things that can grasp his attention for any length of time and make him happy.

It's already been replaced as I said. I will however pass on what's been said here. Thanks folks.

They came back for the other side !
Could have been last night but we think it went this morning between 9am and noon with the car parked on the drive !
Would the death penalty be excessive ?

thats shizzle man, get yourself a cheap cctv camera, film them, find who they are, go take the items back, and slash their tyres.
I imagine they will be back when you replace them, this time, set the trap and make sure it costs them way more than its costed you.
