Car just cut out
Driving down an a road, at 70 mph my car suddenly cut out. Completely dead and rolled to a halt, it now won't start but still cranks over. I have checked coil pack and maf, and they both work fine. Any one have an ideas on what it could be? Thanks
It's a uk 99 turbo. With a decat and has recently been ecu tek remapped

Pump is working okay, as I have checked. Put petrol in 5 mins before it happened and had half a tank anyway. It wasn't a cough either it just died. No coughin or grinding just died and rolled

All dash lights still working?
Are there any connectors that could have been disturbed recently?

Check plug going to the coil pack, Im guessing you have done this as you say coil pack is working. Did you check to see if you are getting a spark at the plugs?

It would, as would it's connector displaced.
Handbrake light constantly on? Isn't that telling you the brake fluid level is too low?
Could the ecu have cut it because of that?

The connector is on, and there's plenty of brake fluid, I believe it's soemthing to do with the ecu

I'll have a look at the sensor, and there is no codes on the dash, no morse code. And I'll have a look at the ecu

Try the connectors to the ECU. Symptoms are weird.
