Most but not all.

I have seen them on 55-registrations but there are a handful on '06.

Orite mate. I don't think so, if you get one on a 55 plate I think its considerably cheaper but I could be wrong though!! The jdm one's though are cheaper and vary in price mines around 225 for a year but I'm sure there's someone on snet that's about 140 a year the lucky sod!!

No problem mate. Nah they don't lol for a nice well maintained one you got to be looking 13k and upwards and are pretty hard to come by. If I was to go back to another scoob I would go back to a prodrive bug not to everyones taste but got a big soft spot for the bugs

Depends on the date of registration.
23rd March 2006 is the cut off date - before that and your car tax rate is based on engine size, after and it's based on emissions.
Nothing to do with WRX or STI, other than the amount of CO2 they pump out.

If you can get hold of a Hawk that was registered 22nd March or before, happy days

I do recall seeing a post on here from someone claiming their, post 23rd March, Hawk was getting really cheap tax band (around £76 iirc) due the emissions being listed as lower than they actually are and no one was willing to update the DVLA (and why would they )

Not all true Lunchmoney.

For cars registered before 1st March 2001 the tax band goes on engine size, 1549cc and below and above 1549cc

For cars registered 1st March 2001 and after it goes on emissions (bands A-M) although for cars registered between 1st March 2001 and 22 March 2006 the bands are capped at band K (which is where WRX's and STi's lie, currently £285 yr) see link below

Tax Bands

As for imports, seems to be hit and miss what tax bracket they land in. I'm assuming its all down to how they're registered and what emissions info (if any) is supplied! Do a DVLA search to find out how much a year it is for any particular car!

DVLA Check

Will this be another car that does not fit the bill for an insignificant reason?

offered a bit more than that and we all don't have large amounts of money in our banks so how you can call me tight I don't know.. I don't begrudge spending I simply don't have it to spend also wasn't it you that posted a comment about the seller being 'so far away' ? reluctant to travel too are we?

a lot of us don't have the big bank accounts but with a 2.5 imo your buying trouble.

I have and do travel for cars, furthest ive been was 3hrs away and a shed, my leon came from Nottingham which is 2hrs and was mint,

I decided against Subaru ownership again as there getting old now and starting to need chuncks spending on them regardless of miles or age
