Default WRX STI WR1 No 241

I'm thinking about going to check this motor out and maybe to buy. Does anyone on here know the car or have any information about it? Are there any pro's or con's with these cars. Also are there any things I should look out for if I decide to go any view the car? Cheers

If he/she prepares their cars like their ads I would run a mile.
But a dealer offering no warranty starts the alarm bells ringing as the Sale Of Goods is being dodged.

My old car. I brought it cheap locally, was very much a used family car. Every panel had a mark on it, wheels were v tired. Had a FSSH with it and I know it had a rear end shunt when I brought it, the hinges must have been bent a bit as it made a noise each time you shut the boot. Drove Ok, no issues, engine pulled well. I'd say most of the 80k it had done when I had brought it was shopping and school trips with the occasional blast. Must have had a re-spray. If you can extend the budget this one would be a better bet. Well looked after example:

Cheers for the info, it does seem a bit cheap for a wr1. Think I'll be giving it a miss! The one you suggested looks a beauty, bit out of my price range though.
Thanks again..

Definitely stay clear mate if the garage is not willing to provide any type of warranty! This tells me something is going to brake very soon

Just to add to these comment as to trusting me selling you this car.... and as for the people saying about the fact i am not willing to put a warranty on the car. If you read the add or look closer on ebay you will see that i have 2 adverts for this car and it does state that there is some marks to the wheels and to the bonnet .
have offered it at a very low price with the option to even offer me a little less and this will come with no warranty.
Or you can have it at the higher advertised price with a full service any paint work rectified and the wheels refurbished and 3 months nationwide warranty.
I sold the car to the previous owner over a year ago but he has upgraded to a Low mile WR1 which i sourced for him.

Thought I should put the other ad on as well! Is there any evidence of a rear end shunt on the car?

I think you need to check with direct.gov and trading standards on this regarding your 'sold as seen no warranty, but if you pay extra you can have a warranty'

You really need to read up on the sale of goods act. 3month warranty is the minimum if you are a trader.

Looks like some is buying the car, it says on the ad on eBay (deposit taken). After looking more closely at the photos I can see the difference in colour on the door and rear end!

Right First off i do know the sales of goods act and the new owner is more than aware of the defects with the paint and that the front near side wing door have been painted in the past as this has all been pointed out to him and as for the warranty ( a warranty would only cover the mechanical side of the car which i am more than happy to warrant with the new keeper it is nothing to do with the condition of the paint and panels..)
For people to comment on something with out them actually coming and looking at the car there selves to me seems like you are all keyboard bashing fools who need to get a life.
Any of you know how the law stands regarding slander as some of you may be finding out quicker than you though....

A 90k tatty WR1 for 8k and no warranty is not a very good price IMO. I wouldn't even give you 6.

If you haven't seen the car or have no intention of buying it then it's abit wrong to slate it really IMO :-/
If you had seen it then yeah by all means comment,

It's the no mechanical warranty bit that just raised alarm bells with me. Now people have pointed this out, the seller has agreed to offer a warranty, which he has to do by law anyway.

Ah so there is a warranty included. Excellent stuff , why did you say otherwise, would of saved all the drama

Slander - here we go again, another one without the actual capacity to understand the legality of 'slander', always seems to be a trader who is breaking the law that mentioned 'slander'. lol. Seen it all before with our friends in Cheshire

Exactly, but he has backtracked now and realised the legalities. Good on him.
