Default Replacement windscreen

Got a crack, so do I go through insurance or go with windscreen fitters? Don't the windscreen company's deal with the insurance for you? Or is it best to go and make a claim with the insurance company?? Assuming it doesn't affect my no claims?

Probably best to avoid contacting the insurance if you want to keep your NCB.

Never had it affect my NCB. Although you do have to have windscreen cover

Go through your insurance, you might have to pay 50-70 quid excess.

If your insurer uses Autoglass best to get the work done at their depot, some of the mobile fitters are a nightmare.

Yep - me too.
Policy specifically has windscreen cover, suspect real cheap policies don't have said cover.
